People counting in home stores
Measure which zones in your store generate real interest, when you need more advisors, and how many potential customers pass by without entering.
How it works
What you can do with Porter in your home store
Which zones in your store work and which are being ignored
In a home store, customers browse extensively but not all spaces convert equally. Porter measures traffic, conversion, and average ticket by zone: mattresses, sofas, kitchens, decor—so you know where to focus attention, where to relocate products, and which areas need a layout change.
The customer who stays longer is closest to buying
In home retail, the purchase process is long. A customer who spends 30 minutes evaluating mattresses is different from one who came in for 5 minutes to browse. Porter measures dwell time by zone and shows you how many customers are in real decision phase so your team knows when and where to engage.
How many people pass by your store without entering
If your store is in a mall or high foot-traffic area, Porter measures how many people pass by and how many decide to enter. If that capture rate is low, the problem is your window display or entrance, not your products. With that data, you can test changes and measure if they worked.
An advisor available when the customer needs one
In home retail, each zone needs an advisor with different expertise. If a customer reaches the mattress section and no one is available, they leave. Porter crosses historical traffic with your current shifts and shows you exactly when your store lacks coverage.

Can I know which zones in my store generate the most interest?
Yes. Porter measures traffic by zone and shows you which areas attract the most visits, how long customers spend in each, and how conversion varies between categories. With that data, you decide where to strengthen displays and where layout needs to change.
Can I identify when a customer is ready to buy?
Dwell time is the clearest indicator. Porter measures how long each customer spends in each zone. A customer who spends over 20 minutes evaluating a product has very different purchase intent than one who came to browse.
Can I measure how many people pass by my store without entering?
Yes. Porter measures external traffic and capture rate: how many people passing by actually enter. If that rate is low, you can test changes to your window display or entrance and measure if they worked.
Does it work in large stores with multiple zones?
Yes. Porter can cover multiple zones within the same store with additional cameras. Each zone appears separately in your dashboard.
Does the camera record video?
No. It detects and counts people but doesn't store or transmit images. Only the numerical data reaches your dashboard.
Does pricing adjust to the size of my store?
Yes. We offer flexible plans based on the size of your operation and the number of zones you want to measure. Cameras can be rented or purchased.
